Charles Schneider, D.D.S., M.D.

Practicing Otolaryngology in Los Angeles since 1970, Dr. Charles Schneider received his D.D.S. from New York University College of Dentistry and subsequently enrolled at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine to receive his M.D. He then completed his General Surgery Residency at Lenox Hill Hospital and his Otolaryngology Residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Schneider is board-certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

A former Director of Allergy and Immunology and Maxillofacial surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, Dr. Schneider is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.

 


Michel Babajanian, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Michel Babajanian is a board-certified Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (AAOHNS), a Fellow of American College of Surgeons (ACS) as well as a Fellow of American Thyroid Association (ATA).

Dr. Babajanian earned his bachelors of science degree in New York University in 1984. At that institution, he was granted honorary lifetime membership in Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society having completed his undergraduate studies summa cum laude. He then completed his medical education at UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles in 1988. At UCLA, he was recognized with honors becoming a lifetime member in Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. Subsequently, he attended Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York where he completed his internship in General Surgery followed by residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery under supervision and direct mentorship of several renowned Head and Neck Surgeons at Mount Sinai Medical Center and affiliated hospitals in 1993. His training heavily emphasized thyroid and parathyroid surgery, surgery of salivary gland tumors and the neck, minimally invasive treatments of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea as well as minimally invasive, navigation-guided endoscopic sinus and nasal surgery.

Dr. Babajanian's practice heavily emphasizes and is dedicated to surgery of thyroid and parathyroid glands including minimally invasive surgical techniques. His main area of expertise is treatment of cancers of the thyroid gland. He has travelled extensively and has participated in preceptorships with pioneers of minimally invasive videoassisted parathyroid surgery and thyroid surgery in Europe and in the U.S. In addition, he routinely participates in conferences and continuing medical education seminars to maintain his skills in the latest and innovative surgical techniques. He is a reknown lecturer on the subject of minimally invasive parathyroid surgery.


Matthew L. Finerman, M.D.

Dr. Matthew L. Finerman is board-certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery as well as the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Other professional society memberships include American Medical Association, California Medical Association, Los Angeles County Medical Association and Los Angeles Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery .

Dr. Finerman received his bachelor's degree with honors in Bacteriology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1973. After obtaining his M.D. degree from Loyola in Chicago, he returned to UCLA for his training in surgery followed by residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. There he received nationally recognized training for all areas of the ear, nose and throat with particular emphasis on medical and surgical treatment of tumors of the head and neck, including the thyroid, parathyroid and parotid glands. Dr. Finerman has a particular interest and expertise in allergy of the ear, nose and throat. He provides medical management -- including allergy testing -- as well as computer-guided endoscopic sinus surgery. This interest also gives Dr. Finerman medical as well as surgical options to correct problems with snoring and sleep apnea in adults and children as well as voice and swallowing disorders.

Dr. Finerman is an Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA. A frequent lecturer in his field, he has received teaching awards including the distinction of "Clinical Professor of the Year" from the UCLA Division of Head and Neck Surgery as well as listing in Who's Who. He has been President of the Los Angeles Society of Otolaryngology -- Head and Neck Surgery and served as Chief of Otolaryngology at both Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and California Medical Center.


Mani H. Zadeh, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Mani H. Zadeh is a board-certified Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery as well as the American College of Surgeons(ACS). He earned his Bachelor's degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he graduated with honors. He received his medical degree from University of California, San Diego. He then completed his General Surgery internship followed by residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the prestigious Columbia University in New York. His training had a heavy emphasis on image guided minimally invasive sinus surgery. In addition as a chief resident he received additional oncologic surgery training at The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where he developed extensive expertise in head and neck cancer surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, in addition to salivary gland surgery.

He specializes in the treatment of diseases of the head and neck region, including: sinus disease, thyroid and parathyroid disease, allergy, otologic disorders, swallowing disorders, snoring, sleep apnea, head and neck cancer, voice problems, and laryngeal disease. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive surgical approaches and image-guided surgery of the head and neck.

Dr. Zadeh actively participates in continuing medical education in an effort to apply the latest advances and techniques of treatment in the day-to-day care of his patients. In addition, he has been involved in multiple research projects exploring subjects such as sinus disease, head and neck oncology, and hearing loss. Dr. Zadeh is the author of numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and has presented his work a multiple national meetings. He is frequently invited to lecture on recent advances in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Zadeh has won numerous awards for teaching research and patient care.

Benjamin G. Swartout, M.D.

Dr. Benjamin G. Swartout, is a fellowship trained sub-specialist in Facial Plastic surgery. He is passionate about providing high quality care to his patients and creating natural un-operated appearing results.

Dr. Swartout is a California native who attended college at Harvard, and went on to medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He then did his internship in general surgery at New York University, followed by a specialty residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck surgery at New York University.

Following his specialty training, he completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he worked with Dr. Dean Toriumi. The focus of this training was on revision rhinoplasty.


Carlo P. Honrado, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Carlo P. Honrado specializes in facial aesthetic surgery. He is double board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology serving the specialty of Head & Neck Surgery. He is also a fellow member of the American College of Surgeons. He earned his medical degree Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York - Health Science Center at Brooklyn. He completed two years of general surgery at the St. Vincent's Medical Center and at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. His post-graduate training continued with a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the New York Presbyterian Hospital-University Hospitals of Columbia and Cornell.

Dr. Honrado was subsequently accepted to one of the most prestigious fellowships in the country sponsored by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington, the Larrabee Center for Facial Plastic Surgery and the Virginia Mason Medical Center under the tutelage of Wayne F. Larrabee, M.D. and Craig S. Murakami, M.D. During his fellowship, his entire experience focused on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, nose, eyes, ears, head and neck.

He has published over 20 articles and has presented topics both nationally and internationally.
