Shortly after World War II, Dr. Victor Goodhill, Dr. Seymour Brockman and Dr. Irwin Harris merged their practices to form the Otosurgical Medical Group. The physicians at the Otosurgical Medical Group specialized in the treatment of diseases of the ears, nose, and throat and were pioneers in the development of stapes surgery. In 60 years of service, the Otosurgical Medical Group has maintained a reputation for excellence unsurpassed in our community.

Since its inception, the Otosurgical Medical Group sought to build a practice dedicated to providing the highest quality and most advanced patient care. Throughout the years, the Otosurgical Medical Group successfully built a team of talented and dedicated physicians with specific areas of expertise within the field of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Joel Shulman joined the practice in 1971. Dr. Shulman brought to the Otosurgical Medical Group new and improved surgical techniques as well as expanded expertise in Otology.

The 1980s and 1990s brought more changes to the practice as Drs. Goodhill, Brockman and Harris retired. In 1984, Dr. Charles Schneider merged his successful practice with the Group. Dr. Schneider's primary area of focus has been in the treatment of Allergy.

The scope and practice of the Otosurgical Medical Group was further enhanced when in 1995 Dr. Michel Babajanian joined the practice. Dr. Babajanian brought to the Group the newest in state-of-the-art surgical technique with particular emphasis on head and neck surgery.

Looking again to expand the practice, Dr. Matthew Finerman was invited to merge his practice with the Otosurgical Medical Group in 2000. Dr. Finerman is a native of Los Angeles. His practice encompasses all aspects of ENT with special emphasis in adult and pediatric allergy and sinus disease.

In 2003 the Otosurgical Medical Group was fortunate to welcome Dr. Mani Zadeh to the practice. Dr. Zadeh has trained in ground breaking medical and surgical treatment of sinus disease and image guided endoscopic sinus surgery.

The most recent addition to the Group, Dr. Benjamin Swartout, returns to the West Coast after extensive training in Facial Plastic Surgery.

While the Otosurgical Medical Group has grown and evolved over six decades, it has remained true to its legacy of excellence long ago established by its physician founders, and continued by the physicians and staff at the Otosurgical Medical Group.
